State Science Olympiad

I spent the entire day Saturday at Weber State taking pictures and shuttling kids between events at the State Science Olympiad. We got there at 7:00am and didn't get home until nearly 10:00pm. You can see Nicole in the back after they won second place. (she had to point out that the kid next to her was standing on his toes and that she is really taller.)

She said that she would like to do it again next year and try for some of the scholarships (especially those from Utah State)

You couldn't pay me enough money to make me ever want to re-live junior high.

On my way through the Science Lab building I ran across an article with my brother in it. How many years has it been hanging there?

I Survived Vegas

Last week I went to the Las Vegas Gift Expo with my friend Sharlene, sister Valerie, and Mom and Dad. Dad got us some super deals on the hotel and restaurants. We walked and walked and walked. We were able to find some things for my friends store The Cannery, helped Valerie find jewlery, and Mom and Dad were successful in finding knives batteries, and flashlights.

Then two days later I helped man a booth at the Salt Lake Scrapbook Expo. We were swamped the whole time that we were there. Most people were interested in the big printers that they could print their 12X12 scrapbook pages on.

We don't do big parties at our house, but when the kids turn 8 and 12 they get to have one with their friends. This year Erik wanted to have some of his friends play Laser Tag at the local fun center.
